New Airlift Makes Branson the Perfect Meeting Destination

(From ExploreBranson.com)

Not only does Branson, MO have the hotels, venues and convention center facilities you need for your meetings – this surprisingly charming destination now also has the airlift to fly your attendees there. The Branson Airport (BKG) recently announced new non-stop service from Branson to Denver (DEN) and Houston (IAH) with connections to over 100 markets nationwide. Elite Airways and Great Lakes Airlines have entered into a codeshare agreement, permitting the use of interline e-ticket and baggage agreements with legacy airlines including United Airlines, American Airlines and Delta Airlines, making the connections seamless for the customer. This arrangement will enable customers to purchase a single ticket from over 100 cities to Branson on United.com or on their favorite on-line travel website such as Expedia, Travelocity or Orbitz.  For details visit FlyBranson.com.

In addition, the Springfield-Branson Airport (SGF) has non-stop flights to 11 cities including Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Orlando, Phoenix and Los Angeles. This airport is about 45 minutes from Branson and the drive is incredibly scenic with no major traffic.  Ground transportation options include cabs, rental cars, shuttles and motorcoaches – many that can offer round robin-style shuttling.

And because Branson is situated directly in the middle of the country, meeting planners will find that many attendees located in the Midwest and Mid-South will make the short drive to Southwest Missouri.  What does this mean for meeting planners? Great attendance, because it is easy to get there.
